Looks interesting m8 im going to be building a large stepped cigarette hull for next year, well thats the plan anyway  ok2.For you self righting chamber just build a chanel in along one side with holes along the side of the hull and have it open at the transom so when the boat flips this chamber fills up and the boat self rights, the water then runs back out, easy enough to do  :-)).

Hey mart, cool look forward to seeing how you get on with it,thats what i was thinking with the flood chamber just never done 1 LOL.
I cant decide on how to shape the top yet so just gonna get the main hull done first then have a play with a couple of different designs, but will probably mold this 1 and the other mono, but do a couple of different hatch designs :-))

Nice one, look forward to seeing what you come up with, incidently have you considered trying foam to make the deck plug ? ive had good results using the yellow insulation blocks that have the foil covering, they dont melt when resin is applied so i usually give them a thin layer of sanding gelcoat then sand them smooth for moulding off.Body filler also works ,amazing how fast you can shape something too.

Your not hanging about m8 are you  :-)),ill be making a start on my new 68" stepped cigarette hull soon using my 58" apache as the basis for the design.Ill stretch it a ft but keep the same width, should work out fine as most apaches at 68-70" are same width as my 58 hull in fact some are narrower.Ill do a build thread showing how i add the steps to the design as well as how i lengthen the plug to make the mould etc. Also i should have the Arrow deck sorted soon, been on the back burner for too long now so hope to have it in production in the new year.
Mart
heres what im aiming for with the Cigarette hull.
