Hi
This is quite a challenging model. For scale speed and then some -
suggested is:
540xl brushless motor water cool
battery; 4ah /40c/ 5s1p lipo
semi surface prop with no big rear planing wedge at rear of model
or
submerged prop under hull - keep the angle shallow!
try two small wedges at outer edges of hull instead of the big central one - which will cavitate the prop
optional; add a 2inch edf exhausting from jet tube exit & Y it to the main motor throttle .. a realistic turbine sound is the result
its alot of gear to cram in so keep it all as light as poss
DO NOT fit a big edf unless you can get 1:1 thrust for allup model weight as it-ll sound good but wont move much ( trust me i have tried!)
I have dome a few 1/10 K7.. and several 1/6 speedline also
I am currently working on a wren 160 powered 1/6 speedline K7 .. BASED on the great E Lazenby 1/6 - which i now own
I will subsequently be trying one with an aeronaut TF8000 edf and leopard 5692 730kv motor with 12s1p lipo power (26lb thrust)
hope this helps
Chris
