I have been not of touch for many years and things seem to have change a lot with regard to batteries!
I have a huntsman hull 34 ish inches and a while back bought some electric outboards from this forum. I believe they were off an ready to run racing catamrang type boat! So I'm not sure what the motors are but am sure they will be fine on 6-12v. There are two outboards on this!
So I have run as a test with my old 7.2v 2000mh pack and it goes ok for a reasonable time. But it is way under weight. So I put an old 12v 2.8ah lead acid I had laying about on it and she sat ok in the water and flew.
Could anyone advise what would be best for a good turn of speed with good running time and reasonable weight with low cost? Would a 12v 4000mah ish nimh be ok or would a lead acid or something be better?
Also should I use 12v?? Could I have 2 12v nimh packs wired in?
Any suggestions please? Thanks
