Hello, new to this forum ,but not to rc boats.
« on: December 27, 2010, 10:28:49 pm »

Hello.
My name is phill and go by the name phillnjack (jack being the one who thinks she is the boss)

Ive been messing around with rc boats since about 1978, so have a little bit of knowledge.

Ive not realy been doing much as in going to clubs etc as ive always just used my boats on rivers and the sea.
More into sport than racing, well i was anyway.

Recently with being house bound due to leg injury ive been tinkering with the boats again and fancy givng them a run.
Even been made redundant while off on sick leave so will have loads of time for the boats.  :P

so ive come here to see who where and when they run their boats and whats new in the world of rc boats.

i live in slough berkshire uk, so ive got the river thames very close by to use as my testing ground.

phill :-)

Hi Phill & welcome, sorry about the job situation, as you live in Slough there is a good lake and club at Black Park. I no longer live in that area, but a search on this site (and of course Google !) will certainly give you more info. Also, if yachts are of interest, Three Rivers MYC sail at Rickmansworth Aquadrome not too far from you

regards

Black park is not for ic anymore .

The high wycombe club ruined it 20 years ago with boats too noisey.

its just for sail and electric stuff.

but thanks for the info

Hi Phill, I didn't twig that you were an i/c man from your first post, can't be of much help then. I was a member of Three Rivers when it first formed but don't recall any i/c  clubs nearby. Anyone else in that area on the forum ?  {:-{ {:-{
