Ive always ran my boats fully submerged drive.

Keeps the prop in the water more and keeps the water coming through the pipes all the time.

My spirit has been up against a couple of surface drives and left them for dust, especially on tight turns.
Flat out hardly anything in it using same engines.

But i have thought about surface for pipedream,  just not too sure about surface

What have you found to be the best for the mk1  conventional submerged drive,  or surface drive ?
and what engines etc  in each set up.

Whats the turning like though with surface drive, i ask this as with submerged drive and straight ballraced rather
than flexi shaft, i find this turns realy sharp, infact almost on its own axis even at speed.

if your set ups right you shouldnt need turn fins turning not problem on surface drive i thing .not a lot between conv and surf .except when flat out only thing in water is prop and rudder
