mmmm a happy & healthy 2011 to all members...... :P ....[and our troops away from home & those less fortunate O0]

With all of this rain in QLD RaaArtyGunner ....it seems  %% that no one is talking of the projected water run off that will end up in the Darling river system ....then to the Murray river system  ... & then to the Murray mouth @ Goolwa ....regards Derek  :-))

You lot down under take care of yourselves, during these floods. You have enough to cope with with Strauss and the boys!! {-) {-)

No seriously, it does not look very good at all. I wish all those in the affected area all the very best for the New Year..

Derek,

Good point, looks like all the monsoon and cyclonic rains and flooding have put paid to all the political tooing and froing for the Murry Darling Basin by stakeholders, state Govts, effected communities etc,etc and all the other politically correct waffle including the Authority formed by the Govt. >>:-( >>:-( <*< <*<

They and all their "arguments" are all now redundant.  {-) {-) {-) {-)

Hi Nordsee...it is still about 23 hours for the first day of 2011 for you....but only 85 minutes for people here in OZ  O0

Please open the following link...it confirms that a great % of inland rain that falls in Australia drains into our inland river systems & then back into the sea some 3000km from where it fell ...Derek   :-))

Also some of the rain/flood may end up in Lake Eyre which is an inland lake in Australia
