Not sure I would want to go to sea in anything called "Thetis" as that was the name of the RN sub. which foundered and the crew failed to escape.
Brings back memories of the play "Morning Departure" which acted out the tragedy. I recall acting a part in it about 45/50 years ago as a lad at school. The Woodwork Master and the Metalwork Master (with the help of some of us lads) built a cut-away model of the sub. for the play. It filled the whole stage of the Globe Theatre, Royal Marine Barracks, Stonehouse, Plymouth. It was probably the best part of our presentation, a real work of art! What an experience for we lads...build the set and act in the play! I was an onshore Admiralty Officer, to make my hair grey I rubbed in some "white powder" I found in the theatre, only to find it was rosin for treating the stage, it looked OK but set solid!
