dukw at warwick show
« on: January 03, 2011, 06:45:45 pm »

I saw a green DUKW at warwick show and have just found the picture of it on the Mayhem Warwick
Is there any info on it, is it a kit/plans/scratchbuilt.
does it run on land and water or only on or the other??
I found it i nice size so was wondering if it was available to build!

don think this was the  deans marine one. There kit does not look correct when built, I feel it is not long enough ( I could be wrong here!). The picture above also implies this was smaller than the deans kit......maybe 1/16 to 1/20 scale.

saw the article and the model, amazing. Hopefully......where  I work in London the DUKW tour buses might be moving onto the same  site. I cannot see me getting much work done if they do! When they came to look at the unit before christmas I spent 2 hours taking pics of the DUkw they bought along. Fortunately my bosses never found out!!!
