« on: January 19, 2011, 03:32:12 PM »

I was watching the National Geographic channel (SKY 527) today 19 /01/11 They are building a replica of an Arab Treasure ship discovered in the Java sea south of Singapore
The hull is about 65/70 feet long double ended two masted with a single square sail on each mast. It has been built in the Traditional way on a beach. There is no iron / steel or wooden Treenails in the constrution "all the planks are sewn togeather with coair fiber [coconut] 100and 20 thousand stitches. today was about the build the next will be fitting out and sailing to Singapore from Oman        Worth watching
