Lowgarth Tug.
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:24:28 pm »

Firstly, i have to say many thanks to Steve from "Modelboatbits" for coming along to our pool at Chasewater again on saturday and bringing along his Mountfleet lowgarth tug, as well as another couple of boats for our club members to both view and also take the controls of.
Steve's Lowgarth Tug is one of Mountfleets "prototype" builds, prior to full  production, so some slight alterations may take place between this and the "sale" version later on this year. But to give you all a taste of what it looks like and also how it sails.

Heres a few pictures of the Tug on the water. I have a short video clip of the tug, this can be found on our clubs website : http://chasewatermbc.blogspot.com

I'll try and get Steve to add to this post and kindly put all the powerplant details on for those who may be interested.

Getting lots of interest from my prototype, It run's really well,  I run one of modelboatbits 900 high torque motors 6-24v - 3000rpm at nominal 12v direct drive
look's a treat on the water,  Nice managable size
