  i use liquid styrene glue. Works well, softens the styrene and it soaks into the grains of the wood to get a good hold.

yes i use the same method.....never had any problems with debonding.

   Same here.  No problems.  Stuck styrene to balsa, softwood and ply. Nothing fallen apart yet.
   On larger areas I have also used the thicker tube cement.
