Thanks for the Welcoming email.  :-))

I am building my first scale model, which is an old Veron Vosper F.P.B. with a 6volt can motor. This is something different for me as I usually build and run nitro boats (I will posts a few pics at some stage)
I was given this boat recently in a partly started condition, but it effective a new build as not much was done. Pics attached on where the boat is at now, I will post more as I construct if people are interested.

Does anyone have one of these boats, I would appericate a photo of the underside of the Hull as I am about to start planking the Hull and the instructions/drawings are not that clear.

Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Regards

Welcome spark69, Vosper built 36 of these Coastal Patrol Boats for export in the 1960's. The kit you are building was produced by Veron. Research is difficult because this 'class' has acquired several names..................  Keris/Kris/Kedah.
I have given some links below which give pics and information:

An alternative building plan is also available:

I hope the above will get your research started.   :-)

i think its large sheets on the underside , i spent some time rebuilding one during last summer , but removed the single motor , fitting it out with twin shafts and direct drive brushless motors , power is from a 12 volt gell battery ,

I Started to build one of these about 40 years ago, was only 15 then! It was never completed unfortunately, Intended power was to be a Merco 61 O0

The hull was sheeted not 'planked'... similar to the Aerokits boats (I have a Crash Tender here waiting to be restored...yeah right don't hold your breath!)

Found this photo of one at a local show some years ago...hope it gives you some help...and inspiration :-))

Thanks for all the great replys, life here in WA has been chalanging with a recent death in the family.

I have started sheeting the Hull, bit of an exercise, could always use a third hand  :-)
Here are a few pics on where im upto now.

This will be a bit of a slow build as I want to get it right.
The Motor that came with the Boat is a 6volt 8amp (max) can motor with gearbox.  Any advice on what sort of controler I should use?

As promised here are a few pics of one of my other boats.
