RN short forecastle flower class corvettes
« on: February 17, 2011, 12:12:36 pm »

Hello all
I'm trying to find out names and pennant numbers for Royal Nave short forecastle flower class corvettes
with a view to converting the Revell 1/72 HMCS Snowberry kit. If anyone has any ideas for websites
with photos that would be very helpful. :-) :-)
Thanks Dave:)

I think you'll find the revell's Snowberry was made from the moulds that the original manufacturers, Matchbox used for HMS Bluebell (K80), launched 24/4/40 lost 17/2/45. There may be an association website.

I convereted snowberry to r/c, an easy task, but kept it as Snowberry.

Good Hunting.

The answer to your question is not that easy as most short focsle ships were rebuilt to long focsle ones later in the war.

The best online source for the flower class is -

Hi Dave

You might find this site useful, it even includes a section on converting the Revell/Matchbox 1/72 Flower into  a short Fo'c'sle
 version. http://www.cbrnp.com/RNP/Flower/contents.htm
