Sounds like the Imperial equivalent of the metric sizes from the handbook
When you order ask the guy to confirm they will be OK before parting with
the pension  :-)) :-))

Hello, Why not give the Axminster tool people a ring, they may be cheaper,  Nemesis

Cheapest by far are justbandsawblades.co.uk. They also do custom lengths. half the price of OEM and Axminster.

Hi I have a band saw.I found buying cheap blades is not a good move.
you are better off buying a good quality welded blade, rather than a braised blade.
Axminster sell the welded blades

We always used Hamilton saw blades for our bandsaws , great blades, they do a lot of the wood working shows , far better quality than many of the other types

The specialist saw blade suppliers give far better value than a "Tool Shop", the former do it for a living, the latter have to add their handling charges. I would suggest if you receive a braised blade, you send it back, the specialists not only have the proper "Gear" to weld the blades  but usually have the ability to repair tipped circular saw blades and also re-grind or manufacture HSS circular saw blades from blank discs. Used this type of supplier for many years in Industry.

First thing to do with most of the import bandsaws is to chuck the blade and get a decent one. Before the flame wars start, I did underline most, not all.

If you buy a top of the range saw why compromise its build quality and precision cutting (Which is why you bought it in the first place!)
by fitting cheapo inferior blades?

Be assured Ned, the blade material suppliers specified by both the above companies are neither cheap nor inferior.

I was agreeing with you Ian
Specialist suppliers are the way to go
Cheap tools become expensive when they are responsible
for a pile of spoilt material

And don't forget to take the tension off the blade when the saw isn't in use! When standing still the blade teeth will dig into the rubber tyres on the machine wheels and cause jamming up, thus causing both snapped tyres and a broken blade. I know that from experience (pricey!). BY.
