TIA :-))

Probably 605, but if there is a "More interesting" scheme then that one. The reason is that we bought the Dogboat kit from Deans marine with a hull number of 605. however, the Type and markings, as far as I can research, with the sharks teeth is for Flotilla 55 and 605 was never in 55, and the kit only has the two torpedo tubes, not the 4 of the ones in 55.

Any help or advise is appreciated.

From what I can see on Deans site the layout is correct for MTB605 in Nov ’44 as per John Lamberts works.

The weapons fit is slightly unusual in that when they were upgraded most boats changed to the semi-auto  6pdr Mk VII fore & aft.

I can’t  find any pics of 605 but the standard scheme for Dog boats at this stage of the war was B15 Dark blue grey for horizontal surfaces. G45 Light grey for vertical surfaces.

Counter-shading was employed. This called for all surfaces in shadow to be painted white.

B15 and G45 paints are available from http://whiteensignmodels.bfweb.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_WWII_Royal_Navy_Colours_45.html

Hope this helps

Does anyone have info on the standard fixtures and fittings to be found inside the Chartroom? It is our intention to fit it out as the interior is visible from the outside. any guidence is appreciated. We have the usual books on the MTBs but nothing seems to be said about the chartroom contents.... ok2

We have been in touch with John and he has proved helpful, thanks.
