hunting a back issue
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:42:16 am »

hi, not sure if this is the right section.

I'm looking for a back issue of model boats magazine complete with the free plan it came with, October 2001.

The Plan was the M.V. Sandpiper made by james pottinger, I currently have a plan for that specific ship however its showing its age and is starting to fray on the edges and has a few rips in it :(.

So I'm looking to replace it as I'm currently making that ship at present.

Has anyone got one of these for sale by chance?

Thanks

If you don't have any luck obtaining the plan you want from forum members, it's available from MyHobbyStore here

Will you be attending the North East Model Boat show at Temple Park (South Shields) ?

If so, I can bring the Mag & Plan with me, and you can either copy or borrow them.  O0

Either way, I will need them back at some point as I intend building this model "sometime" in the future.  %)

Ray.

Thank you all for your speedy replies and assistance.

Regarding the model show I did not know there was one coming up in this area, any chance of further details on dates and such for it?

I'm still working on a destroyer at present I hope to post pics soon, although its mostly complete it needs a rebuild in some sections as its partially damaged due to moving address.
I'm seriously thinking of getting it ready for the summer to put on the boating lake and see how she sails.

The North East Model Boat show is at

Temple Park Centre
John Reid Road
South Shields
Tyne and Wear
NE34 8QN

This show is on Saturday and Sunday 9th/10th April 2011.

Can't remember the start time for sure but I think it's Doors open to public from 10am both days.

If the last 2 years are anything to go by, it's certainly worth attending - plenty clubs displaying their models (inc. Wearside MBC, Teeside MBC, South Shields MBC, Saltwell Park MBC and of course my clubTynemouth MBC) and a number of Traders selling their wares.

Parking facilities are good and refreshments aplenty within the exhibition centre.  O0

Ray.
