The cart story is hilarious...! some things that happen... well you couldn't make them up..Ha Ha Ha...I like it.

Passat estate is here, 2.0 TDI Bluemotion, lovely gold colour, kerb weight is 1570kg...!
here's a photo of a wheel...just to prove it...! that's a smart piece of work too.

He regularly delves into the past as he has an Austin 7 himself.

Just thought I'd dig up this old thread so I could show off my latest bargain/early birthday/christmas present....

So here it is, no bike for me for a while, it's a Rover 25 1.8 GTi VVC, with MG ZR wheels and bodykit...

Very handy having my own car now, and the boot is a fair bit bigger than the boot of my GF's corsa! More model boat friendly.

1999 Dodge grand caravan for business, 1978 MG Midget for fun & also a Triumph TR8 needing TLC. I drive a 2005 Dodge Caravan daily, lots of room for my two Cocker Spanials & we have a 2009 VW GTI, 6 speed, 200 BHP(German Horses not Japanese ponies) & 207 ft/lbs of torque @ 1800 RPM, a race car in disguise, have had it up to138MPH/ 225KM & was not still flat out, one great car.Mick B.

my two are both volvos, the big old thirsty 850 has 260,000 miles and cost me £300, and the latest one is a v40 GDI (with the mitsubishi petrol injection lean burn engine) doing over 45mpg on the motorway, which cost me a whole £400, that one has about 180,000 miles on it. I never buy new cars and the volvos are both still going strong, actually come to think of it I probably spend less on my cars than most of you do on your models, plus I do all my own maintenance, had a few new front wishbones on the 850 (the steering ball joint is integral) plus new seats on the suspension, the volvos are a dream to work on, designed to make life easy for their mechanics.

Before my present fleet, LOL, I covered one & half million KM's in two VW Jetta's & an Audi 5000s. Back then I used to drive eighty to one hundred & twenty thousand miles a year, I drove 2500 Miles on many weekends just to race & a single trip from here to Yellowstone would be about 3,500 KM.Fuel was cheap then, about 35 cents a gallon, so it was not an issue.
