It was suggested that as a new member, I make a post about myself. I have been lurking over at RC Groups and saw a link to this site, so now I will lurk over here too. I have acquired many kits of various makes and types over the years, with the intent to do them when I have time, unfortunately time seems less year after year. In the meantime I will admire all of yours and try to glean more knowledge for when I do get time.  When I can be a help to others I will. I grew up as a commercial fisherman in Maine, but for the last 27 years I have been in the yachting business, the last 17yrs as captain to the same family. I currently captain a 100 ft Palmer Johnson M\Y. I have also had Naval architecture training, and have worked as a lofts-man, and a ships carpenter, and built several full size boats. If my knowledge can be helpful to anyone, do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you,
             Erik
