whacky scrap races
« on: April 02, 2011, 07:02:01 am »

My name is jim and i am new to r/c submarines.I am usually seen at shows driving my 1/4 scale r/c Tigertank. The reason for this reply is that i am involved with a local school who run a project called whacky scrap races which is backed by the lottery fund and gets families together on a saturday morning building different things from kits and recycled materials. In the past we have done boats, hovercraft, cars, tanks and robots and this term the challenge is submarines.A bit of help from an experienced moddellor is always welcome and i was wondering if anyone lived in the Reading,Berks area who woul be prepared to come along one saturday morning and give a bit of advice to the teams.Last terms task got 26 families together for the challenge and we are expecting the same amount this time. The challenge starts on 21st may and is at denefield school in Reading.
It runs for 7 saturdays.
