Wouldn't that be the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich?

I would think that this one in the British Museum is just a little bit older....

Hello, I think you want to change it to who has "oldest boat which is still sailing" & on a regular basis. I know modellers whose boats were built years ago whose bottoms have never been wet since the launch.  Nemesis

i think this ought to be the oldest model boat still sailing , as opposed to those who are stuck in a glass case and looked at ?  mine is probably an old aerokits searover  that ive restored once and used last summer , but now stripped again for more modifications

Maybe not a contender, but I sold a Sea Queen to a colleague which was (the boat) 40 years old at the time.

In line with the recent suggestions (with which I fully agree) this Sea Queen still sails pretty regularly.

So hopefully, this example sets a reasonable time span on which to judge your model's active age .................  %)

aye aye there

the two steam launches in the pic;

1 - a passenger line in the front - dates from (I believe - the 1930s) and she still sails on our lake regularly - Bob Kirtley who runs this model was talking about converting her to radio control as at the moment she is still free-running.

2 - a passenger/cargo behind - dates from (I believe just after WWI) and she still sails on our lake also - I think its going to be refurbished by one of the club members.

aye
