Hello, My name is David. I'm new to this forum. I'm looking for any information on the manufacturer of the boats on the movies Key Largo and To Have And Have not. both boats are the same, In key largo she is called Santana . I read somewheres that she was a 1934 wheeler playmate, but thier not quite the same. in the movies the helm (stearing)is on the starboard side, while the Wheeler's is on the port side. I've scratch built model airplanes, and now I want to scratch build this ,I'm looking for plans for her or find out the spec's on her. I'd be thankfull for any help. If I can get any information on her she will be my second build. I'm getting ready to start on a mission boat called the columbia III. She will be a plank on frame build about 28 inches long. display only.This experience will be a learn as I go thing. Once again thanks  David

Hi David - don't forget in the era that these boats were built they were the preserve of the very rich only and even though the hull and deck would be 
to a standard design they would usually be customized to the buyers requriements so it could quite likely have the helm console on the port or starboard
siide and still be the same model.
People are still selling the original boat yard sales cataloges on e-bay and there are many websites in the U.S. specialising in these classic boats - If you want
100% scale authenticity I would try contacting one of these yards.
