DickyD - back in hospital
« on: April 22, 2011, 07:56:48 pm »

Dear All

I am sorry to say he is back in hospital again, blue lighted in at 7am this morning.  He has been diagnosed with a blood clot in both lungs and is having IV treatment to get rid of them.  Or it something to do with the nurses but seriously hopefully this time they will sort him out.  He was told than he was probably misdiagnosed the last two times he was in.  So let hope they have got is right this time.

I will keep you all inform of his progress.

Gill.

It must be the nurses, Gill %)

Give him my best wishes, and I hope that the medical staff sort him out properly this time.

Dear All

I am glad to say that DickyD has been moved from the high dependency unit today into the next ward.  DickyD will have to be on warfarin for the next six months to help with the blood clots.  We are not sure how much longer he is going to be in hospital but as long as he is improving that is all that counts.

Please can i also thank everyone again for all the best wishes, these have helped him lots to know that so many of the mayhem forum are thinking of him during these bad times.  I am now hoping we will now have some good times ahead with him back to his work room shouting at me for a drink or something, and him back at the lake making paddle to put his boat in the water.  But we will have to wait and see and hope it will be sooner rather than late.

Once again many thanks to everyone.

Dicky is obviosly getting the best treatment Gill and I am grateful to hear that but I must ask 'How are you'?
It must be awful for you with all this stress and worry.
Hospitals treat the patient but the family are left to get on with it.
Give my regards and best wishes to Dicky but please try and look after yourself, if only because he will need you when he escapes yet again.
The last thing we need is to hear that you are in the hospital in his place.
Love and Prayers,
John :(( :-)) :-))
