Morning all,
My name is David from Surbiton in Surrey and I am completely new to model building (boats or otherwise). I saw a variety of different craft being sailed on one of the lakes in Bushy Park and thought building a kit would be a good project to get me away from the television and learn some new skills. My wife bought me a kit for Christmas (an MFA Piranha 2... I wanted to start with something fairly simple) which is slowly taking shape.
I've been reading the posts on this forum and am frankly in awe of of the craftsmanship on show, but some of the threads have already answered some of my many questions, so I thought i'd better stop lurking and join.
