Well I've run the 5000 mAh a few times now and their performance is not as good as I'd hoped. When fully charged one packs registers 10.4v and the other 9.6v and the weaker of the two is very noticeable when running the boat. Both packs get exceedingly hot as someone mentioned earlier but neither of them are able to hold constant high discharge rates. You seem to have to back off a rest the batteries for 15-20 seconds or so when running the boat before going back to full power again. This may well be a characteristic of very high capacity sub c batteries given the power they've tried to put into them.

Interestingly Overlander have dropped their prices for the 5000s so I've ordered a couple and it will be interesting to see how they compare.

you will notice the difference, I have been using high speck batteries for over 25 years (prob longer) and have noticed the difference especially in how they deliver the power.
