as you have had a yacht before, a micro magic would be the better of the 2........unless you want to upgrade the Victoria to carbon fibre masts etc!!

Micro Magics are getting very popular and some good sailing can be had out of the two I would go for a Magic  :-))

before you sail a micro magic upgrade the rudder linkage to a solid rod type linkage , ive seen a couple of them in the middle of our local lake with no steering due to the kit supplied cord breaking !

Hd, Talk to Mike Weston he knows just about everything there is to know about the Micro Magic  http://www.rcyachts.org.uk/epages/Store3_Shop2540.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store3.Shop2540/Categories

I bought mine from him. I'm more happy with the service and advice he gave me

I have a Vic and love it.

However, the Micro Magic has a bigger following in Europe, and even though you may not consider racing now, the option is open in the future. I think (but stand to be corrected) that there is more Micro Magic racing in UK.

Probably not much in it.

I have sailed my Vic in a gale. Great fun, even if she does broach a lot and porpoise when running  :D :D
