My god, political voting (just look on the map to see who gets the 12 points), total insincerity - I'm REALLY glad we don't win this charade  %)

I'm waiting for Libya to join Europe, then we can hear a re-release of Lulu's "Boom, bang a bang"   %%

Cheers, and my 12 points go to ........................................................  Mayhem !

My daughter got home from the bar where she works and told me that she had seen it on the screen there.  The sound was off, which was considered an improvement.  Another year gone.

Does Auntie Beeb really need to waste the licence payers money on this yearly debacle? Dr. Who was the only BBC1 programme watched last night and that was a bit far out.

I only watch the scores these days, best bit, as someone already said. I do miss the Wogan wit, though. Norton's not the same.

Still, our boys got ten times more points than last year. Goodness knows what the Beeb would do if we actually won - we'd have to pay for the darned thing the following year - and take it half seriously. Do they really want that?

For the moment then, what's another year? Hang on, that was Ireland's song once!  :-)

Having been sort of forced to watch it all, I re-discovered my old and almost forgotten attribute of "fortitude". All the female singers (?) were clones of each other (apart from the unicyclist). But now that Azersomething has "won"....how much is that little lot going to cost the locals next time around? From the entries I could only think that it was a competition to see who would come last and thus save some money. BY.

They don't hate the UK they just vote for their neighbours I turned over for the voting by accident last night and the only
fun was guessing who they were going to vote for - I reckon my wife was about 95% correct. The only neighbours
we have are the Irish and the French so we have no chance. Thank heavens - that TV set must have cost a fortune.

Yes Neil but the past two governments have so emasculated our armed forces that Andorra could now
probably give us a good run for our money.

I think it was all a cunning plan by the BBC!  Our real entry was the group from Enfield and this was an undercover operation.  The BBC knew everything was booked for the Olympics in 2012, so there were no venues available, apart from the expense!

The Azerbysomthing group live in Enfield.
So I expect it will be in / on a football field next year.

Roy, I was curious about this so looked at the "contenstants" (not that I'm remotely interested of course  :embarrassed: )

the Greek entry also lives in London and the Romanian entry was a welder born and bred in Newcastle!!!

Might as well call it "Engeuro"  %) %)
