Any ideas on the best Tx/Rx for yachts with EPA and Variable rates

I like my Spektrum DX7 ( I also fly planes) several of my fellow club members use the DX 6i.

Another thing worth noting is that there are several cheap Spektrum compatible RX,s available there are none for Futaba, as far as I'm aware....http://www.micronradiocontrol.co.uk/rx_dsm2.html

I have a couple of the Orange "Parkflyer"  Rx's they work fine in a boat.

I don't think you will do better than a Spektrum DX6i they are very easy to program.

Well done that man... I had not seen that site, any idea on a UK price and who sells it..Maybe Giant Cod ?

Ps I didn't say that I disliked Futaba.... I do like it... I have got some of the "old" 35mHz stuff more than happy with it, but I don't like their 2.4Ghz RX's as they are too pricey... compared with even the proper Spektrum product

Absolutely. Spektrum/Futaba... all good, clean, healthy stuff. Each of us to our own, but even I have to admit that seventy-plus pounds for a Fut' receiver is a rather expensive way of doing things - especially when you need a separate Rx for each and every model - which is one reason why I choose to use these:

PMK Thanks for the info...The Spektrum is still cheaper but at least the Futaba looks a little more reasonable... but I agree both are good quality products ..You pays yer money and takes your choice
