Paddle drive?
« on: May 16, 2011, 11:46:07 pm »

I've been looking at Heng Long tanks. It occurs that when people retrofit metal gearboxes, there must be plastic ones going spare. Would one of these make a suitable independent paddle wheel drive? (Admiralty dockyard tugs only please - must remember the H and S)

May i refer you to the Paddleducks excellent website. All Paddlers dealt with both model and fullsize.Theres a
good section on motors and making paddlewheels. I have a Henlong Tiger and see no reason while the
motor units could not be adapted. But as said there are other ways possibly better. John.

I just purchased a tamiya gearbox drive unit from the dreaded e bay the cost with delivery was less than twenty dollars the output shafts are independent  I plan on using the drive unit in  the Lulonga which should be my next project
