A warmish motor?
« on: May 20, 2011, 12:50:16 pm »

Any suggestion for a 'warmish' 540 sized motor...I don't want a full on, amp sucking, full race motor, just something a bit quicker than a stock 540.

It's to be run from two 4.8v 4300a/h cell packs joined together to give 9.6v @ 4300ah, one either side of the propshaft.

Hull is a 22.5" x 9" fast electric hull, submerged drive.

600 size... and water cool it? bit faster and a lot cooler .

also look at the prop size's/ pitch this can heat up a motor as its being under load. try a smaller prop as a suggestion or change the pitch before committing to larger motors and water cooling systems.

I think there's room for a w/c coil, and I drop a size on the prop to start with.

Cherrs guys,
