« on: May 22, 2011, 10:51:05 am »

Good After noon all of my Friends...it was my long dream to realize this craft, after seeing the XBOW ship, named Bourbon Orca..and my dream was delayed by some of my health probs..but now its time to do something..so i decided to go with my craft..
as usual, it was made out of thermocol..from plans based on real scale..but i reduced its tail a little to add a pulling device, to tow a big second barge...

Hi Krishna,

a nice little low budget model.

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch your YouTube video because my (ISDN) bandwidth here at home is too low for that.

How did you cut and smooth the Styrofoam hull?
Did you carve it from block, or just level bread and butter layers (though the photos don't indicate the latter technique)?
What kind of filler/putty did you use which wouldn't melt the foam?

You wrote you were using a plan.
Did you work the hull after a body plan or just from elevation and decks of a GAP?

Did you solve the excess torque issue of the installed wiper motor?

Is it monsoon season now in India? Probably bad model boating weather, eh?

Regards
Ralph
