Help a newbie

Hi im new to boats but not to rc I have had cars for about 15 years i have had this boat in my garage for about 15 years. I have got a spare transmitter reciver plenty of servos and various 540 size motors.
I would like some advice on this like what size motor and prop to use and if it looks like anything needs changing its 25" long and 12" wide. Also if any one has any idea how old it is or what it is.
Its some thing for me to play about with while i build my micro hydro.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

hi  doddy welcome to the forum.  what kind of cells have you available & what capacity? This will help determine a good starting point.
The old formula 3 boats were about the same size, they used to run a 19 turn 540 motor & 6  2000mha nicads, using around a 28mm metal prop. however if you have higher capacity cells you can run a quicker motor.

Iv got plenty of 3s 2000 mah 30-40c discharge lipos and some 2s 2000 mah lipos
