Hi just a question because I don't no if it will effect but does it matter where you place a reciver in a boat and battery it's a 40mhz reciver and I'm going to be running 3200 2 cell lipos but dont if I will pick up interference if the reciver is near battery ?

Interference is most likely to come from the motor, especially if it is not suppressed. Modern R/C gear is very tolerant but it's always best to reduce the risks where possible. Common practice is to site the receiver well away from the motor, usually towards the bow of the model. It also helps with 40mhz or 27mhz kit if at least part of the aerial is in a vertical position, run up the outside of the mast for example.
