Broomfield model boat club Open Day - Sunday 24th of July
« on: June 02, 2011, 10:08:21 pm »

Broomfield model boat club (Based in North London) are holding an open day
on Sunday 24th of July 2011, all are welcome to attend and sail the event
will start at approximately 10am on to 4pm or so . There will be free
sailing all day, though we may need to set up slots if the need arises.

The pond is a Victorian model yacht pond with a depth of between 13” to
23” in various places , all types of model boats are welcome thought IC
are not allowed due to local byelaws, but steam is allowed and it would be
nice to have a bit of straight running . It is a free event of likeminded
modellers with no trade stalls allowed ( byelaws again) but you are
welcome to bring your own tables ,chairs and gazzbo`s.

The pond is located in Broomfield park , Aldermans hill , Palmers green ,
North London N13 4PT and as about 50 metres from the roadside where you
may park or in one of the side streets , there is a café on the main road
or bring your own refreshments .

We will be inviting the local press to attend and even Martin to try and
raise the clubs profile as we seem to have more members passing away than
joining ! And could do with some new members.

please pass this on to your fellow club members who are all welcome

Looking forward to seeing you there , Paul.

Sailed there with my dad as a kid. Later had a yard and office in Fox Lane, next road along.

Happy days. :-))
