hi all
my name is mike and i live in bristol.
i have previously made 2 model boats from slipway (sentinel + shamrock) and both are in working order but do not have enough time to sail.
i have been making a 1:96 scale scratch built (all be it with plans) model of HMS Cornwall which so far has taken 3 years to get to the stage that i am  in now.
using sirmar fittings worked well but now i struggle to get major parts since they went bust.
so while making cornwall i have 140 issues of Bismark to work through. i am enjoying making this model as its like a glorified airfix kit after all the HMS Cornwall tracing paper and cardboard samples i have been making. this is light relief accept all the planking but am very gratefull that i have most of the magazines up front and do not have to wait a week before i make the next section.
i have also been dabbling in latex moulds and resin with some sucess for my model Cornwall.
thanks for listening
all the best
mike
