This is the best model Ive personally ever seen, it can be handled without the worry of anything breaking off the thing, something I find when I am towing my models in the back of the my trailer down to the lake/cum swamp.  Ive yet to find a glue that really sticks the bricks.  I wonder if Bob the Builder has this bother.   I tried double sided sticky tape once, but it still didnt work.

I've got some Lego in the loft. !!!!

What kind of plastic do you reckon it is.  I have an idea the it might be possible to click a few pieces together with glue, and then file to make  'that shape'  which is always needed when the shops are shut.  :D

Cheers...Ken

LEGO is basically ABS, the majority of parts are anyway, a few of the more unusual parts are manufactured in other materials...... simple ' plasweld' will bond  99%  of LEGO  parts together....

 not so Jay !

just think about the underside of a LEGO brick, all those little tubes and LEGO bricks are basically hollow on the underside, once clipped to gether air is trapped in that underside.....
and if like this model you use some kind of adhesive, especially plasweld which chemically welds the parts together you effectively have a double skinned boat with air trapped inbetween each skin....

My RC  LEGO fishing boat is approx 5 ft long, i then add to that the weight of RC gear and a 12 volt 24ah battery and she becomes a fair old lump !- so after building her i decided to see if i could sink her , ( just to know the models limitations)
all 12,000 plus parts are glued together, even when the model is totally submerged in water with batteries and gear on board she bobs up to the surface....... all be it on her side !- the air trapped on the underside of each of the 12,000 bricks provides the bouyancy required to keep her visible on the surface-  !)
soi am pretty sure  this model will float, thanks to all those little air pockets bonded into the hull !

:o Get it on a lake and sail it  ;D

never thought of all those air pockets but your right i made a little model from lego and it floats even with some sand as ballast still didnt sink

could lego be the the next best thing to model with???

if you can get hold of enough then hell why not !
 - i am lucky i have access to a fair bit !!!

but the positives are no painting, the pre-coloured parts mean that and knocks or scrapes dont affect your paint scheme !- and it can be a quick medium to build in !, my trawler was on the water in under a month !
plus if anyone is daft enough to take you on  down at the lakeside the series of  parallen contours and sharp little corners means that in the event of a broadside you generally come out on top and you leave  loads of parallel scratches on the agressors hull ! ;D

Not sure is this same carrier.

I think it is different.
The one at the top of the tread is very square (cubic) at the stern. The second is tapered in all directions.

In addition the first looks to ber firmly made to go on a flat floor. I cannot imagine rolling it over to modify the hull.

Herby.
Does the model sail (float, have motors etc?)

it is one and the same model, i have spoken to the gentle man who made it... its not powered but it said to float..... the last picture of it with the builder looks to be in shallow water so me thinks its beached for the pictures....

The car idea was conceived in Melbourne.
We think it is our governments plan to build cars in Oz. now that they have let our native Holden (GM) die!  <:(
