i am building a y2k and the plan states a 3/4 inch diameter mast looks a little thick? is this ok also where can i get small screw eyes for the rudder pins which are 2mm brass wire does one control the mainsail and jib as in a micro magic hoping you gents can help   slug

sorry read plan wrong 5/8 is the sizex34" high i have some 1/2"which i think will do boat is 36x10"  gaff rig thank you for your help   slug

 :-)) Sounds like my sort of mistake. My wife laughs at me. I spend hours carefully working out what I need for a job and then invariably come home from the shops with either twice what I needed or a half.  >>:-(

Screw eyes from the local hardware store or online. They often be brassed, as opposed to brass, which may prove stronger.

I also use cotter pins for small connections, just drill a hole and glue them in after trimming.
