Whats the size diffrence between a 1:24th scale man to a 1:20 scale man?
1 foot is equal to 304mm the average man is (5.9') but we will call it 6 foot
so 6 foot is = to 1824mm now devide that by the scale of 24 = comes out as 76mm that's 7.6cm
For a 1:20th scale man at the avarage hight of 6 foot its...
304mm x6 /20 is 91.2mm so 9.1cm now if i do that with an average man of 5.8' foot 304x5.8/20 = 88.6mm
So really you could get away with using a 1/24th scale man with a 1/20th scale boat just by saying he's 5.8 foot tall! its not an exact scale after all it is nearly 10 mm extra in hight but if you keep them away from doors no one will really notice the difference.
But there is another option to use 1:32 scale men as they come out around the 60mm mark (58mm) which is more realistic, i based that on a man of 6 foot, but given there hight difference you can just claim he's only 5.5'!
1/16th scale men are far to tall they come out as a 6 foot man at 120mm!
Either that or keep looking i have seen 1:30th made by grapner which come out at the 60mm mark also, there are two types at this scale one are old sea dogs basically and other other set are modern seamen with red boiler suits.
lol you can ignore this... since someone found some men for your scale! but I'll post anyway, never know might be useful for someone else!
