more pics second test with barge. welcome darklord thank you for your comments on my tug, if you go down the scale rout there's a lot of boats you can choose from, don't build to a small scale as i think the hull shape is better suited to the larger scale, my tug is built to the scale of 1/24. O well could be shoot for that comment but that is what i think

             My Mate Mark`s  ( Nora Bat whose 44 )  beautifully weathered 1st Springer RED DRAGON V strutting her struff in the Mast Pond on Sunday.

ok back on with springer, well the barge any way. have been doing this for a bit and have all ready taken it to a few shows,as you can see it's not the barge seen in my earlier posts but a new one purchased at Alfold last year. sorry cannot remember who from, if i remember right it's one of four sizes. so up first some early pics of the build

Can I just confess to the following... I liked the colours of your dingy on the back of the barge so much that I partially copied the colour scheme for the one on the back of Resolve. :}

ok started painting the barge. first i painted on maskol then remove some of it,then sprayed on the main coat. when this had dried i then removed the paint on the maskol to give me a used and worn look

Hi len the skip is from mac's mouldings as is some of the other fittings. The crane is from model slipway, and some are home made fitting

to have somthing different on the table when doing static shows, and seeing other moderlers having the same idea, i have come up with this over the last 2 weeks
