Hi modellers,

My name is Tibor (nick: Tibu), I'm living in Siofok (on shore of the lake Balaton), Hungary.
I'm totally new in sailboat modelling (2 months), and have some practice in motorboat modelling (2 yrs).  Also have some practice (40 yrs) in 1:1 sailboat racing (most of them in soling, which has an one meter class too).
My interests is the whole model world, but I feel myself the best on the water. Now I with my friends begin to race in MM class sailboats, and I try to access bigger boats too (first one is a china made cheap near 1 m boat).
Sorry about my english, it is that level what you reading.

Keep in contact,
Tibu

Welcome aboard the good ship Mayhem.... blithely sailing through choppy waters!

What was your first model yacht?

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the warm welcome.
My first sailing yacht is an MM, it is my avatar.
My first motorboat (if that was the question) was a home made electric boat, just for fun.
I'm not really a scale boat builder, because I have not enough manual skill to make that.
First of all I like to be on the water with something, and then make all necessary mods to be the fastest.

Greetings, Tibu

Thank you Colin,
I'm not really up-to date in warships and other scale modells, but the ships on the WEB page are interesting.
The place is really Bánk, with accent, it is a little village with a small beautiful lake.
Cooordinates:
N 47° 55' 19" E 19° 10' 40"
It is approx. 60 km north from the capital city of Hungary, Budapest.
I hope you have all the necessary information, because the WEB page I seen is only in hugarian.
Greetings, Tibu
