Nice looking build, it would be nice to see it on the water as well.  I also believe in some weathering on U-boats as they very rarely looked in well kept condition and  regularly looked very worn.

I am currently saving up for an Engles type VII but I have a couple of projects to finish first anyway!  I am about half way at the last count!!

Turbulent:
very nice, ready for the 1st sub run?

Thank you gents for your kind comments. Waiting for the water to warm a little bit for the ballasting. Will post some action photos (hopefully) when completed!
