Hi:
I have been on a couple of forums, but just found this one which seems to be more UK based, so here we go. Not many modellers where I live, on the Isle of Mull, though.
I am six weeks into the build of Stubbs, for R/C, at a scale of 1:24, so she will be about 1100 mm overall, and displace about 4.2 kilos or so.
I am making the centreboard a bit thicker than scale, and it will be mosly lead, dropping to 90 degrees as well as the scale 30 degrees, so I hope to get enough stability.
I am still thinking of one winch with a loop serving the sheets to both sails, although it is suggested two winches may be better. No final decision yet. Anyone know of suitable through-deck fairleads, please?
I'll now see if I can post the pics. Phil.
