Hi All

The Norwich Model Boat Club is holding another Naval day at Eaton park on Sunday 25th september starting at 9.30am to 4.30pm, The Pond will be Split in half so equal space will be provided for the sub's and surface vessels, Also we have the Band of the Royal Marine cadets playing for us all day.

we will have a catering van in so you can get hot food and ice cream, and drinks too.

please take a look at our web site for directions   www.norwichmodelboatclub.com

judging by the poor response,it looks like no one wants this event
In 2012 the club will try and organise a two day event to make the drive to Norwich less strenuous
THIS WILL ONLY HAPPEN IF THE WARSHIP SKIPPERS GIVE US SOME FEEDBACK REGARDING DATES AND PROPOSED REQUIREMENTS
We do not want to conflict with other events but we do want to make this a weekend that will be a permanent fixture in the regatta
diary and give the models somewhere new to be sailed and exhibited.we can only do this with your input,Please guys, help us to help you,we at Norwich are lacking in naval subjects and wish to bring a little bit more into the Naval scene.Input from S.W.A. members etc will be very welcome

Get those thinking caps on and tell us what we can do to promote grey ships

Regards Admiral Donuts (Ex grey funnel line crew member)

Its all just a question of geography and roads for me.  From the South West Norwich is a bit of a B****r to get to.

Fully understand the problem shipmate, good ole Dr Beeching took our rail links and forgot to build the roads as were promised
Bristol is a bit of long drag I agree but thanks for the input

Have you contacted the local SWA rep?
http://www.surface-warships.org.uk/SWA%20directory.htm
they may be able to help advertise it

Hi,

Sorry, but Norwich is a bit of a trek, Peterborough is about as near as we get normally.

Norwich is a lot of a drag to get to, but its worth the effort.
Usually stay near to sunny Hunstanton.
A weekend trip would be worth traveling down for.
