"Vistafjord"
« on: March 04, 2007, 05:14:31 pm »

An elderly model built by a (then) young Brian Chambers and his dad Maurice Chambers. Quite a large model for its time (over 6') but suffers from stability problems (calm weather only) and being of timber construction is suffering the ravages of time. Recently re-done in Cunard colours. Hard to say which is better.

Am I right in thinking that I have seen this one at Harrogate in 2005?

I am sure that she was in a dark hull which is of course the new Saga Cruises colours.

The superstructure extensions didn't improve her appearance. Still better looking than modern cruise ships though.
