speed controller

Hi all
This may seem a silly thing to ask but when plugging in a speed controller to the radio receiver does it plug into one of the positions that would normally be taken by a servo i.e channel one or two and then nothing plugged into the battery position.
As always thanks in advance for your comments

      Regards Tony :embarrassed:

The ESC normally goes into channel 2 - channel 1 is for steering. Do not use a Receiver battery with an ESC!

The BEC function suppliers power to the receiver from the battery which is connected to the ESC.
