Receivers for Spektrum DX2.0
« on: July 05, 2011, 04:37:31 pm »

Excuse me if this has already been discussed...I couldn't find it if it has.
I've just bought a DX2.0 as an extra Tx and assumed that I could use it with my existing Rx's....which are aircraft receivers.
The manual says that the Tx is compatible with DSM2 "surface" receivers as well as DSM.
Is it really limited to "surface" receivers? I'm certainly struggling to bind things to it.
I'd hate to think that I was going to have to splash out more money.  :((

It's compatible with any DSM Rx, not DSM2

So it's compatible with DSM2 surface, but not air receivers?
That seems a little mean spirited.

I recently bought a Spektrum DX6i TX...intended for aircraft use, i have a small heli for indoors and I did have a Micro Mustang for outdoors..until I broke it ! I'm hoping to use the TX for boats when I sort some Rx's out later.

What do you mean by 'struggling to bind things to it' ? maybe not using the correct method...? I haven't had any trouble..yet...but I'm interested in any problems with 2.4 and boats...

Cheers

J.

I already have a DX5 and DX6i  :embarrassed: but, having two ever-growing sons, wanted a third Tx so we could all play together. The DX2 is cheap(ish) and I assumed would work with my existing Rx's....and yes, I've got some of the "cheap" ones courtesy of GiantCod.

I've been sitting at the desk not doing what I should do and rather trying to bind to the new Tx.  With a kosher Rx I tried to bind but couldn't but the DX6 bound again and again with no problems. I'm following the DX2 destructions for binding.

Is there a trick to it?

I've a feeling the method could be different between your DX2 and DX6, I might be wrong though, I've not seen a DX2... {:-{

but if you have followed the instructions then....???
