Nice choice of boat. Mind the plan indicates RAF 2749, whereas your boat could only have been 2751, 2752, 2753, 2754 or 2755. The difference is the earlier boats (the RTTL MK1A's e.g. 2749) did not have slab-sided wheelhouses, and later boats (the RTTL MK2's; 2756 onwards) were built with raised engine room covers. The boat you have (designated an RTTL MK1B) would have had the deck-level engine room covers (as per your boat)when built, they were later converted to the raised type when the twin Rolls-Royce Sea Griffon engines were installed replacing the triple Napier Sea-Lion installations. Surviving boats of the type you have are 2751 (now Phoenix) and 2753 (now Flywood).
