Guys,
Could you help?
I have just finished Badger and have just joined a club and looking forward to taking her on the water. For the boot line I have used trimline and I was wondering if I need to apply a coat of varnish over the top to stop it coming adrift. I don't want to look a wally and take it sailing and end up with a white stream trailing along behind.
Thank in advance.

You should be ok as long as you have pressed down on it as you applied it. I had trimline on a yacht for years and it aint come off

After a few disasters I always use PVC tape for my boot topping and hull coach lines. I usually put these on before varnishing the hull. As has been said, you shouldn't need to varnish over them but, as I always varnish my hulls, belt and braces ain't going to hurt is it?
