Parking an RC square-rigger with no motor or thrusters, under wind power only, beats that old tub  ;)

I am surprised some bright spark  :D  did n't suggest hooking 1000 farting cows in manifolds & fill the tank with Methane which has a Vapour Pressure [more or less weight] 40% less than the atmosphere ...then float the tank to the intended location......

Unfortunately the only possible way of reducing weight anywhere near enough would be to completely evacuate the tank. It would however likely implode before removing all of the air. Methane may have a lower density (not vapour pressure) than air but the weight of the tank will bring the total density to much more than air.

Re: YouTube & other Videos - YouTube no longer sending out Email Notifications!

YouTube no longer sending out Email Notifications!   <:(

Changes to emails you receive for new video uploads from your subscriptions

Hi Everyone,

Heads up: If you’re opted in to get emails about new uploads, live streams, and premieres from channels you’re subscribed to, these emails are going away on August 13th, 2020. You’ll still get notified on mobile via the YouTube app, or on desktop via your Chrome browser if you’ve turned these notifications on. If you haven’t turned these on yet, you can do so in notification Settings.

Why? Less than 0.1% of these emails are opened, and people have told us that these emails contribute to inbox overload – we hope this change helps you more easily spot and pay attention to the important emails YouTube sends about your account, mandatory service announcements, etc. as no other types of emails are going away.

Creators: We didn't see any impact to watch time when we experimented with turning off these emails. In fact, our tests showed that when we don't send these emails, more people engage with mobile push notifications and their Subscriptions feed.

Well thats what the mancunians will do when bored, noticed he didn't get as far as Patricroft in Eccles - would have been fun to see him go over the Manchester ship canal

Fair play to the guy and LOVE IT but just hope it's not as the link says he went out driving round to collect these things during lock-down or restricted travel!!!  Unless of course, had the ubiquitous Dominic Cummings bumper stcker then of course it was all all OK compared to the rest of us suppsedley doing our bit and not going anywhere as per gov instructions to keep others safe.

Quote
"During the lockdown, people were clearly having some sort of clear-out of their garages and gardens, because within the space of six weeks, another three [Tuggys] appeared on eBay, and I just couldn't help myself," Bradley recalled. "I drove around the entire country, thousands of miles, buying every last single one of them, and entering into bidding wars with local families, and leaving innocent sellers entirely confused as to why some maniac would travel 300 miles for an old plastic kids sandpit."

...possibly if we believe the timeline in the article they were wondering why some absolute moron was travelling to them to collect the parts.

Sorry - it's the angle he was carrying it at, didn't watch the video as powerboats to me are like sports cars, pointless, unless for those who like them, not a lover of F1 or any other class or rallying, though if absolutely nothing on tv at a push I would watch Touring cars but to be honest I would rather just switch off the TV and save elecy, just my opinion.
