Sydney endured the hottest day in its history yesterday when the mercury reached 45.8 Celsius (114.4 Fahrenheit) at Observatory Hill, in the city centre. Penrith, in the city's west, reached 46.5 C or 115.5 F.

In the News !!! Pope's Resignation Query
« Reply #232 on: February 12, 2013, 11:13:32 pm »

Now that the Pope has resigned, and assuming that for the next six weeks of Lent he may be abstaining from something that he usually does (other than his normal day job), would it be okay if he gave up celibacy and sobriety?  {:-{

... would it be okay if he gave up celibacy and sobriety?

That puts me in mind of something that happened in 'Way to Go' on TV (BBC3). If I tried to explain I'd probably get a red card for 'non-family friendly' words, but if you've been watching it you might understand  :-)

Almost 14 ft long !     ( at 1/96 scale )    What car has a back seat that long  %%
I guess the only way of transporting such a model would be in a TEU 20ft equiv Standard Container?

NYC Union Square, 1917 … that’s a full-sized battleship built of wood … used as a recruiting center during WWI.
