Watched it on Sky News earlier this evening, They were only just back on the water after the sinking in March. Bearing in mind they must be at least 70 years old, maybe they should stick to the roads in future.

Yellow 'Duckmarine' sinks in Albert Dock in Liverpool

With their history, is there any truth in the rumoured name change to "The Yellow Submarine Company" ok2

"they must be at least 70 years old, maybe they should stick to the roads in future." - Where there's absolutley no chance of 'em being involved on a major Road Traffic Accident instead!  {-)

I hear this morning that this was the vehicle that the Queen toured the area in last year, it did not look to stable then with a heavy list to starboard; I put it down to the Leader of Liverpool council and the lady Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside and her husband being on that side though.

Hello,
Years ago we used to have a Model Boat Show at the Albert Dock, used to sail around the "weather mans island" with my schooner.
A new Harbour master stopped us from sailing " In case the full sized boats got damaged ".
Did he know something that we didnt??.

From Mick earlier today

the city of Calgary is suffering the worst flood in living memory with 75,000 people evacuated up to now. Also a lot of local towns & villages have been just about washed away

It didn't sound like Mick was having any personal difficulties but Mick isn't our only Calgary member so fingers crossed for them all.

No wonder they are going broke if they cannot even get the right scales for model railways.  <*<

:-)) I believe that they had to rebuild all the running gear after that epic record run,not only is Mallard a great engine but a lot of the credit must go to the driver and fireman who knew every inch of that road and worked their socks off to break the record, when I was about 10 years old I had a ride on the foot plate, all I can recall was the roar of the fire and we accessed the engine through the tender in a tunnel, happy days full of wonder,I don't think you could get away with that today with all the health and safety regs.,Ray. :-)) :-)) :-))
